Helping My Sister

Hi. This is Hailey. For those of you who don't know me, I am 9 years old and I am Livy's twin sister. I wanted to talk to you today because I have something very important to say. I want to tell you about Livy and some of her friends.

I also want you to know about what I am doing to try and help them. I am making a stand for something important which is what my video is about.

The first thing I want you to know is that Livy has epilepsy. One thing I love about Livy is that she has a big heart. She loves everyone she meets no matter who they are or what they look like. Livy also has friends that have epilepsy. A few of their names are Gabe, Taylor and George.

Gabe is younger than Livy and is really cute. He is so fun to play with and I enjoy seeing him.

Taylor can walk on her own and she gets excited very easily. She is happy about 90% of the time. She is really fun to be with.

Last, George is around the same age as Livy and has been in her class at school for a long time. We have called George Livy's "boyfriend" for a while. He loves to spend time with people and I love hugging him. Again, these three amazing kids
have epilepsy. Epilepsy is such a terrible disorder because seizures can cause serious problems or even death. Livy, Taylor, Gabe and George have that frightful possibility every day.

To try and help Livy and her friends, we are having a national event called Lemonade for Livy. I want to have lemonade stands in every state so we can raise money for a cure. There is only one week left to get the rest of the 50 states! Now there are only 9 states left so keep up the great work. A lot of people who registered their stands have also left comments and some of them have talked about their children and that they have epilepsy too. They always say that they are so happy someone is trying to stop epilepsy and it makes me feel inspired when everyone wants to help.

We are coming close to Lemonade for Livy Weekend so we need to get the remaining states registered! Here is the list of states we still need: Alaska, Delaware, Iowa, Mississippi, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, Tennessee and Wyoming

Remember, if you or someone you know wants to do a lemonade stand on July 25-27, click here to go to our Lemonade for Livy page and click on "REGISTER NOW" to fill out the information. We can't wait to reach our goal. It will be helping a lot of people!

Hailey's Dad: We are so proud of Hailey and all she has done to support and advocate for Livy. She is an amazing example of a child trying to make a difference. If you have even a few hours over the Lemonade for Livy weekend, we encourage you to participate. It is as easy as setting up a table in your driveway with a pitcher of lemonade and a sign. That is how it all started. We all have the ability to help find a cure for epilepsy. It is a devastating disorder that affects 65 million people worldwide and each of their family members. When we all work together, we inspire hope. Please consider supporting Hailey, Livy, their friends and the millions of people worldwide struggling with epilepsy. Please register for Lemonade for Livy and make a stand. Thank you!"
