Livy's Hope: A New Direction (Revised)
Our apologies if some of you received two emails. We were having some technical issues which stopped some notifications from being sent. We also revised part of this post to more adequately convey our message.
Over the last year-and-a-half, we have been blessed by all of you, our amazing supporters. You have been generous with your financial contributions to help with Livy’s therapies through donations and purchases of Hailey’s jewelry. Livy would not be where she is today without our whole team of followers. You have also given us emotional support through your kind words and heart-felt comments. You have proven to us that providing inspiration and hope can go a long way in helping someone get through a difficult time.
Livy has come so far with the assistance of so many. In the spirit of giving back and paying it forward, we have decided to make some changes to Livy’s Hope which you will see in the near future. We intend to use 50% of the net profits from items sold on Livy's Hope to support children with special needs and their families. We may not be able to help too much at first, but as we have come to realize, every little bit makes a difference. We have met so many children and families that are in need and we want to do our best to help.
Anne Frank once wrote, "How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world." We are going to start by reaching out to one family at a time. Hope is a powerful force. It acts as a candle that can light thousands of other candles.
Olivia has changed our lives and enlightened us by all that she represents. She has taught us to sacrifice for others, to help those in need, to cherish the time we have and to do something meaningful. We have no idea what the future will hold for this endeavor but we are excited and encouraged by all of its potential.
And don’t worry. You will still be able to get Livy's updates and donate directly to her as she continues to grow and progress. We are incredibly grateful for everyone who has contributed toward her therapies. She has a long way to go but we know she will never cease to amaze us.
We hope that you will continue to join us and support us on our journey. We intend to do as much as possible to make Livy’s Hope a force of inspiration that helps people live better lives.
