Part of this journey in the special needs world is sharing one’s perspective. That’s the major reason I have been writing every day. But it’s also about listening to what others have been through. The gift of time to be there when others need a shoulder to lean on or even just to vent is very important. It may be your spouse, your child, a friend, or even a stranger. Never take for granted or diminish how much it means to another to simply let them tell you how they are feeling.
So I have a favor to ask. Think of one word you turn to when you get discouraged or that has special meaning. Write it on the back of a postcard that represents your state or country, or wherever you live, and why the word is important. Feel free to write anything else as well. Then mail it to:Livy’s Hope

We’ll call our little project, “Finding Hope.” I would love to hang them up in my office and also comment about some of them. I have the perspective of my family and Livy's challenges but I would really like to read yours as well.
