Everything Has Its Beauty
Confucius had it right when he said, “Everything has its beauty, but not everyone sees it.” Much of that phrase comes from having a certain point of view or perspective. Some may see beauty while others see nothing. The reality is, much of what we perceive as beauty in this world comes from how our lives have been shaped by our experiences. It can also be determined by how accepting we are based on what we believe.

Livy has taught us a great deal about acceptance. We have learned to look beyond physical appearance and ability and to look at people, places, and things by the impact they have on others. We have witnessed true beauty and grace in some of the most difficult and trying moments. The fact is, when our hearts are free of anger and hatred, we see more, we feel more. When we lead with hope and not fear, we are more open. When we take the time each day to simply look around, we find beauty everywhere.
