Gift of Perspective
On days like this, when Livy starts off having a bad morning, it's hard to stay positive. We had to give her some extra medicine for her seizure activity. These are the days when the past comes rushing back and we wonder if we will lose control. Luckily, she settled down and seems to be okay.

As we have said in the past, epilepsy doesn't care that it's almost a holiday. Seizures happen any time and any place. So what we are thankful for is that she is not in the hospital like many other warrior families are right now. We are thankful that she is smiling. We are thankful for those of you who have supported us over the years and continue to walk this journey at our sides. We are thankful that we are not alone in this fight. We are thankful that we have been blessed with amazing kids who have shown us the meaning of unconditional love. We are thankful for the strength and perseverance to endure the hard days. We are thankful for family. Finally, we are thankful for the gift of perspective to know what matters most.
